Raja Ampat Liveaboards - Over the last few years, diving in Raja Ampat in the remote eastern islands of Indonesia has become more popular and more accessible with most trips using the port of Sorong which is reached by domestic flights via Manado. Some of the boats in Raja Ampat also dive in Komodo. This works out very well, since the best time to dive Raja Ampat is November to April, so you can get year round fantastic liveaboard diving in Indonesia.

The main diving season at Komodo and Bali is May to October, but there are liveaboards almost year round. Some boats will change their port and itineraries to get the best dive conditions, so trips may depart from Bali or from Flores. Some liveaboards head further east or north, diving the many hundreds of amazing islands in Indonesia - we can offer trips around Alor, and Raja Ampat, an area which has the highest marine biodiversity anywhere on earth. Liveaboard diving in Indonesia is more popular than ever before - early booking is highly recommended. Komodo has a fair choice of liveaboards to suit different budgets, while most trips to Raja Ampat are longer trips on very nice boats. The diving is more suited to advanced divers - there are some interesting currents around Komodo, and deep waters, and also the water temperature is variable.
